The Eleven Galleries At The Shanghai Museum

When visiting Shanghai Museum, visitors should enter through the main entrance on the west side of the building. Visitors should then turn to the right to visit the first gallery, the Gallery of Chinese Ancient Bronze. In this gallery, visitors will see over 400 artifacts dating from the Eritou culture of the late Xia dynasty. Among these artifacts are many items dating back to the 21st century B.C. One of those artifacts is a complete set of detailed Bian Zhong, a musical instrument.
Continuing out of the first gallery, and turning to the right the visitor will enter the second gallery, the visitor is quickly moved forward in time to a fascinating gallery of over 500 pieces of ancient ceramics. Featured in this gallery are pieces of painted and gray pottery from the Neolithic period through pieces of exquisite produced in Jingdezhen, which were famous world wide.
